2013 The Baroque Orchestra of NJ Summer Music Festival

Sunday August 4—7:30 PM—Fresh Breezes, the full orchestra featuring winners of

the Pearl & Julius Young Music Competition, special guest artists, music by Mozart,
Verdi and others.

Friday August 9—7:30 PM—Chamber music featuring BONJ and guest artists, special
selections include Trio in Bb by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Death and the
Maiden Quartet 
by Franz Schubert.

Saturday August 10—7:30 PM – Enjoy a night with Oscar Wilde and a cast of characters in the
musical theater farce A Night in the Wilde Wild West. Jewel Seehaus-Fisher wrote
the book centered around Oscar Wilde’s visit to Leadville, Colorado. Dr. Robert
W. Butts wrote a dozen songs (words and music) inspired by Gilbert & Sullivan,
Stephen Sondheim and Noel Coward.

Sunday August 11—3:00 PM-BONJ celebrates the 200th Birthday of Giuseppe Verdi with a
striking semi-concert production of Otello. Verdi’s late masterpiece based on
Shakespeare stars Karole Lewis, Peter Lewis, Miksu Kim,
Danielle Horta. Conducted by Maestro Butts, the performance
is in collaboration with Eastern Opera Company of New Jersey.
