Drew Camerata Debut
The Drew Camerata is a new 24-member, professional chamber choir in residence at Drew University. Camerata rehearses and performs during the off-seasons of the academic year, primarily in the winter and summer months. Under the direction of Jason Bishop, Drew’s Director of Choral & Vocal Studies, Camerata’s membership represents a cross-section of Drew faculty, staff, and students with extensive singing experience, as well as professional musicians from the wider community. The community is invited to attend the Camerata’s debut performance on Thursday, January 30 at 7:30p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Dorothy Young Center for Arts at Drew University. Admission is free and open to the public. The program will include the Barber Reincarnations, Arvo Pärt’s Magnificat, Henryk Górecki’s Totus Tuus, and music by Debussy, Britten, Stravinsky, Josquin, Haydn, and William Dawson.
