The Johnny Woods Band is comprised of singer-songwriter Johnny Woods on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, his wife Maryanne Woods on guitar, baritone ukelele and backing vocals, Robert Franchini on lead guitar, Steve Saporta on bass and Mark Rohsler on lead guitar. and pedal steel.

The band plays both covers and originals and describes its style as country/folk/Americana.

Singer-songwriter Johnny Woods has gigged around the Garden State for years, opening for artists such as Joan Osbourne and Badfinger.ย  A couple of years ago Johnny debuted his all-original cd “Broken Fences,” produced by Anthony Krizan of the Spin Doctors.

Robert “Blaze” Franchini has been playing guitar and slide guitar with various bands here and in Montana for many years.ย  He plays all styles: rock, blues, country, Top 40 acoustic folk rock – you name it.

Steve Saporta has played bass guitar for 30 years, appearing in rock, blues and folk band throughout New Jersey.ย  Most recently before joining the Johnny Woods Band, he was a member of Cara Crash and Crash NY.

Guitar ace Mark Rohsler has played with many bands around the tri-state area, including South Street Station.

Maryanne Woods has sung and played with many line-ups here and in California.ย  She has sung and played with guitar great Matt Cartsonis as well as Chris Isaak’s band.
