MHAF 23 | The Daughters of Zion & The Gargoyles | November 25 2:30-3:00 pm | Grace Episcopal Church

The Daughters of Zion and The Gargoyles are the most advanced choral singers at Grace Episcopal church, participating not only in the church services and events, but also at community events in the area as representatives of the excellent choral music program run by Music Director Anne Matlack (who is also the founder of the Madison Holiday Arts Festival).

These two groups will perform their repertoire in the beautiful and acoustically resonant chapel of Grace Episcopal Church in Madison.

Daughters of Zion are high school and college/grad school singers who prepare more challenging repertoire both for services and community events (appearing recently with the Princeton Tigressions). They have performed works by Casals, Britten, Bach and much more, as well as pop and a cappella. They solo and provide leadership in several Grace Choirs.

The Gargoylesย are a young menโ€™s (7th-12th grade) a cappella ensemble whose repertoire ranges from spirituals to sacred music, barbershop and popular. As well as singing Sunday worship services with the adult men, and their own anthems, the Gargoyles sing at community events.
